Role 
  • Altamont Group is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Executive (BDE) to identify and capitalize on opportunities for our firm
  • The business development consultant will be required to study our services/products and formulate appropriate strategies to expand our market share globally  
  • To ensure success as a Business Development Executive, the BDE should be skilled at executing strategic business plans
  • Our expectation is that a remarkable BDE should be able to produce tangible results in even the toughest of markets
Responsibilities
  • Understand organization’s business operation and status, including specific opportunities, competitive landscape and business trend towards better service delivery and improved profit making
  • Review services/products and determine appropriate marketing/communications collateral
  • Acquire knowledge about the organization and implement such knowledge to strengthen service verticals
  • Scrutinize the market to elucidate clients’ needs, competitors’ activities, and promising avenues that have not yet been explored
  • Develop potential leads/client lists for each service/product vertical
  • Liaise with management to develop business plans for the company
  • Craft short and long-term, actionable business development plans in consultation with the Executive Team
  • Implement plans towards strategic marketing of company’s services/products
  • Evaluate all cross-marketing prospects of the organization and provide needed assistance with all cross-marketing initiatives of the company
  • Provide enabling environment for complementing the company’s business plan strategically developed towards better profit making
  • Coordinate business outreach to clients with the necessary follow up
  • Run business development campaigns
  • Set up systems to track business development
  • Sell Altamont Group/EdWorX Consulting services and products
  • Achieve sales targets and continuously review progress using standardized metrics
  • Compile detailed reports that capture successes and opportunities
  • Liaise with other members of staff for the development and maintenance of profiles specific for the organization
  • Edit and update all materials focusing on business development, including websites, intranet, email alerts, and brochures
  • Pitch proposals to prospective clients to find new business prospects
Required Skills and Experiences
  • Advanced academic qualifications (Bachelors(required); Masters (preferred))
  • Degree MUST be from Accredited University
  • 5+ years in a sales-oriented account management role
  • Must have strong understanding of sales cycles and dealing with top decision makers
  • Knowledge of humanitarian, development, INGO, Higher Education and Corporate sectors is a MUST
  • Track record of successful achievement of assigned quotas
  • Must possess strong leadership, motivational, and presentation skills
  • Achievement oriented, with ability to multi-task and handle multiple clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meet business goals based on client discussions
  • Effective communication, listening, negotiating and time management skills
  • Ability to work and write in English
  • Extensive experience as a business development consultant or equivalent
  • Ability to draft, decipher and negotiate business contracts
  • Complete understanding of contemporary market trends
  • Solid business acumen supplemented with decisiveness
  • Concrete grasp of routine and advanced statistical procedures
  • Capacity to motivate staff to ensure alignment with visions
  • Communicative, versatile, and strategic
  • Proven team player and ability to work well with others
  • Working knowledge of web and database technology
  • Solid account planning and forecasting skills
  • Expert with Office365 including Word, PPT, Excel, and SharePoint
